Volunteering
Without the ongoing help of compassionate, caring people, we couldn't continue our work on behalf of the animals at Abandoned Animal Rescue (AAR).
AAR relies on volunteers to help us in many different ways. We have volunteers who help with everything from caring for the dogs and cats to answering the telephone and filling out adoption papers when someone comes to pick out one of our special dogs or cats.
Take a look at the opportunities below and see where you might help. If you have at least two hours a week, AAR has a need for you. We’ll match your skills to the needs of the animals or the shelter from the list below:
- Dog walking
- Dog care
- Cat care
- Foster parent for orphaned or dogs and/or cats
- Basic animal grooming
- Office work—filling out paperwork on incoming or out going animals, creating flyers, filing
- Telephone help
- Mobile pet adoptions
- Yard work
- Washing animal dishes
- Washing towels used by the animals
All volunteers must be at least 14 years of age or must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
For more information, or to request a volunteer application, please contact us at aarescue03@yahoo.com or stop by the front desk at AAR in Tomball and ask about how to become a volunteer.
Your efforts really can make a difference!!!
