Injured? Do not approach an animal if it is obviously injured. An animal does not know you are trying to help and will defend itself at all costs.

If injured, call the closest vet for advice. 

Throw a towel or blanket over the animal. If it can't see you, it will be much more comfortable. Place the animal in a carrier and close it.

Do not give food or water. Feeding an injured animal may cause harm. 

Transport animal to vet.
