Abandoned Animal Rescue was established Oct,2002. The Spay/Neuter program was started Nov 19, 2002.
The organization started with 3 dedicated animal lovers who worked diligently conducting garage sales to earn enough money to rent a small location in Tomball, Texas, thus began their mission to help the helpless. Volunteers showed support by walking, cleaning and caring for the animals. The community showed support by donating money, cages and supplies. All in all, it has been a long difficult journey, but one with many rewards. AAR now sits on one acre, with 5 acres in back and hopes one day, to expand so more animals are able live.We are an all volunteer staff devoted to saving the lives of homeless unwanted animals. Without our dedicated volunteers our shelter would not exist.
"The Animal Savior"
Jim Willis
I looked at all of the caged animals in the shelter... the cast-offs of human society. I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal and I was angry. 'God" I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"
God was silent for a moment, and then he spoke softly.
"I have done something" He replied,
"I created You."
